About me

Robert Tornabene has over 32 years of Public Safety background, serving as a Bureau Chief with a suburban Chicago Police Department. Robert has worked with several large departments, including the Elgin, Illinois Police Department and with the Colorado Springs Police Department as a civilian Public Information Officer. Robert has over 17 years of experience in Crisis Communications, Public Information, and Public Relations.

Robert is also the creator of the PIO Podcast, a nationwide podcast to tells stories about public information officers, public affairs officers, and communications personnel in police, fire, EMS, local, state, and federal government agencies.
